Aliya specialises in cases involving the provision of financial, business and regulatory advice (including FSA and US Treasury instructions) and on both domestic and international dispute resolution cases.  She also has experience in US/EU Sanctions matters. 

In addition, Aliya has experience of drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, including distribution agreements; terms & conditions of trade; supplier agreements; joint ventures; shareholder and investment agreements and employment contracts.  Aliya has recently spent time on secondment to an international car manufacturer.  

Aliya has a background in Financial Services, with expertise in both contentious and non-contentious regulatory, civil and criminal matters.  She trained and subsequently worked post-qualification at the Financial Services Authority in both the General Counsel’s and Enforcement Division. 

Aliya also spent time on secondment at international firm White & Case as part of the Dispute Resolution Group and was involved in a number of large-scale cross border arbitration and litigation cases.
