John Benstead joins The Khan Partnership as a Partner
We are delighted to announce that John Benstead has joined The Khan Partnership as a Partner.
Until June 2008, John held the position of Assistant Director at the Serious Fraud Office (SFO). John will work alongside independently recognised expert and Partner, Andrew Picken, in further expanding a growing Specialist Business Regulatory and Defence Department that deals with business defence, crime, asset recovery and money laundering.
John brings over 15 years of experience in criminal law and regulatory investigations to The Khan Partnership. After qualifying with Clifford Chance, and working in private practice and the Inland Revenue, John joined the SFO, where he worked on many high profile matters including the NatWest Three case and the Torex Retail plc case.
Hassan Khan, Senior Partner, commented on the appointment: “John brings an invaluable wealth of experience from working at the Serious Fraud Office in dealing with high profile, complex fraud cases and white collar crime. We are delighted to welcome him to The Khan Partnership to expand our existing specialist team.”
Commenting on his new position, John said: “This is an exciting new chapter in my career and to help expand a rapidly growing department. I am particularly looking forward to returning to the challenges of private practice.”
