Bribery and corruption is now firmly on the radar of UK regulators and prosecutors. The issue was lately thrown into stark relief by the Serious Fraud Office's investigation into BAE defence contracts and in financial services by the FSA's enforcement action against AON Limited, which cost the company £5.25million before remediation. The Government is set to maintain the momentum with the recent pulbication of a draft bill that will reform the UK's antiquated corruption law. John Benstead examines the implications.
