The Khan Partnership LLP raises over £58,000 for Indian Ocean Disaster Relief (IODR) and Haven House Children's Hospice
The Khan Partnership LLP in association with Grange Hotels has raised over £58,000 for Indian Ocean Disaster Relief (IODR) and Haven House Children’s Hospice at a masked charity ball held on 16 October at the Grange St Paul’s hotel in London.
Over 400 guests attended the charity ball including TV stars – Gary Lucy, Mikyla Dodd and Alex Walkinshaw, Olympic gold medallist Tessa Sanderson and HRH Princess Katarina De Silva.
IODR was established specifically to provide charitable assistance to children and families in the Indian Ocean Region, whilst Haven House Children’s Hospice is a special place for British children between the ages of 0 to 19 who have life-limiting conditions.
Guests enjoyed a champagne reception, dinner and live entertainment. The spotlight was turned on guests when sports broadcaster Jonny Gould, celebrity auctioneer for the evening, challenged all to dig deep into their pockets for a raft of exceptional auction lots including: a magical safari in Tanzania and Mozambique courtesy of Aardvark Safaris; a 5 night stay at the Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort in Mauritius donated by Veranda Resorts; a holiday amidst tropical rainforest in Antigua at the Carlisle Bay hotel thanks to Pineapple Marketing and a chance to experience Los Angeles courtesy of American Idol.
Hassan Khan, founding partner of The Khan Partnership commented:
“A fantastic night was had by all, and it is particularly noteworthy that in these straitened economic times people are still willing to find the time and money to support those who are less fortunate. In 2004 The Khan Partnership decided to have a fundraising event to celebrate each anniversary so it is fitting that on the partnership’s five year anniversary we have achieved our largest fundraising total to date. A big thank you to all of the companies that donated auction items and to all of our guests for making it an outstanding success.”
